Hallo zusammen,
mein Benq LS DW-1655 Brenner mag nicht brennen. Nein, es liegt nicht am jumpen. Das habe ich schon überprüft. Wenn ich z.B. das Backup-Iso anlege und es anschließend brennen will kommt erst die Meldung, dass das Brennen begonnen wurde. Keine 5 Sekunden später kommt dann die Meldung, dass die DVD/CD gebrannt ist und wiederum 5 Sekunden später "fehler beim Brennen".
Ich habe mal versucht die Meldungen mit logread -f auszulesen. Aber da kommt mal gar nichts.
Ich habe die Vermutung, dass mir irgendein Modul fehlt welches den Brenner auch als solchen erkennt. Aber ich finde leider nichts im Netz.

Hallo,
Ich habe schon alles probiert. Daran kanns nicht liegen. Ich bin ziemlich sicher, dass ich dem VDR noch in irgendeiner Form mitteilen muss, dass es sich beim DVD-Brenner auch um einen solchen handelt.
Aber ich weiß leider nicht wie... wäre echt super, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte. Bitte um Mitteilung was ich posten soll. Logreads, /etc/fstab usw.....

wenn ich das Backup brennen will und vorher "logread -f" eingebe meldet diese gar nichts !????

Mich würde interessieren, was denn alles so genau ist. Denn wenn ich mir nun den Kopf zermatere, was man noch testen könnte, so antwortest du evenutell:
a) Hab ich schon getestet und das Ergebnis war... b) Oder du antwortest: Nööö, daran hab ich noch nicht gedacht. .-> Dann hast du aber auch nicht alles ausprobiert !!!
zu a: Hier wäre natürlich auch sehr interessant für eine Fehlersuche, was deine Versuche denn im Einzelnen ergeben haben.
Und dann noch zwei konkrete Frage: - Tritt das Problem auch beim Burn Plugin auf, oder nur dann wenn du ein Backup brennen möchtest? - Hast du schoneinal versucht mit mkisofs ein paar Daten zu brennen ? http://www.linux-user.de/ausgabe/2001/05/015-cdrecord/cdrecord.html

P.S. Der Kernel scheint den Brenner zu erkennen. Allerdings finde ich die 94x Angabe schon drollig... nicht das dies das Problem ist...

fangen wir mal ganz unten an, hast du das laufwerk schon mal von hand gemounted mit einer cd auf die du dann auch zugreiffen konntest ??
"mount /dev/dvd /media/dvd" mit eingelegter cd oder dvd
dann "cd /media/dvd"
"ls -l"
und dann schau ob er zugreiffen kann...

also nach dem händischen mounten kommt:
mount: block device /dev/dvd is write-protected, mounting read-only mount: /dev/dvd: can't read superblock
wenn ich dann ls -l eingebe kommt:
insgesamt 0
Den Link von Wicky hab ich mir auch mal angeschaut und habe mal versucht die SCSI-Emulation zu bewerkstelligen. Das hat aber nicht funktioniert. Das zum Brenner zugehörige sg-Modul lässt sich nicht mal händisch mounten.
Der Artikel hat mich ehrlichgesagt noch mehr verwirrt....

zur erläuterung dieses wirrwars....
bin mit lion1972 gerade am testen warum sein brenner nicht brennt,
folgendes haben wir bisher gemacht:
kaufdvd eingelegt, die wird abgespielt, also schlies ich mal einen grundsätzlichen defekt aus.
mit dem befehl "cdrecord dev=ATAPI -scanbus" haben wir das laufwerk erkannt, und mit dem befehl "mkisofs -r /usr/bin/easyvdr | cdrecord -v fs=6m speed=4 dev=/hdc -"
wollten wir dann einen manuellen brennvorgang anstossen, der aber fehlschlug....gerade fällts mir wie schuppen von den augen....
es darf nicht so heissen: "mkisofs -r /usr/bin/easyvdr | cdrecord -v fs=6m speed=4 dev=/hdc -"
sondern so: "mkisofs -r /usr/bin/easyvdr | cdrecord -v fs=6m speed=4 dev=/dev/hdc -"

Diese Änderung hat funktioniert. Tycoon meint, dass man nun die Skripte entsprechend anpassen muss.

und weiter im text,
wir haben also im script "vdr-iso-brennen" alles was "/dev/dvd" hiess, in /dev/hdc" geändert
stand der dinge, ist im momment, das erstellte .iso, lässt sich über die manuelle eingabe des befehls "./vdr-iso-brennen cdbrennen" brennen.
wir booten gerade den vdr neu, und erstellen ein neues backup iso über das menü. dann machen wir einen brennversuch über das menü...

so, dank tycoon96 hat das geklappt. das iso wurde mittels anwahl des osd-menüs gebrannt. der hund lag also im skript begraben. nun geht es darum, meinem brenner auch noch das brennen von aufnahmen / dvd´s beizubringen. ich werde mich mal nach dem entsprechenden skript auf die suche machen. vielleicht hat noch jemand eine idee....

Hallo,
also ich dachte zuerst auch das das Brennen nicht klappt. Weil mit Auswahl des Befehls "Backup.iso brennen" kam zuerst die Meldung das er mit dem Brennen anfängt, jedoch nach nur 2 Sekunden "Brennen abgeschlossen"... so schnell ist kein Brenner ;) Aber im Hintergrund brannte er trotzdem weiter (das Lämpchen blinkte). Das war mir zuvor nicht aufgefallen, da die Lampe nicht sichtbar im Gehäuse steckt. Es war mir erst aufgefallen als ich merkte, das der Rohling trotzdem beschrieben wurde.
Schon merkwürdig das alles..
