Servus Kollegen,
mein VDR war bis dato ein IBM 300pl in der 300MHz-Version. Der hat über Jahre in einem LinVDR tadellos funktioniert, jetzt möchte ich gern nach easyVDR umziehen. Die Ausgabe läuft über eine dxr3.
Der easyVDR tut allerdings auf dem IBM nicht ums Verrecken… - habe die Installation mal auf einem AMD-K8-Rechner ausprobiert, da ging es aus dem Stand. Leider ist dieser Rechner extrem laut, so daß ich ihn nicht als VDR einsetzen kann.
Mit der gleichen Platte läuft auf dem IBM zwar das System - aber der VDR schmiert immer wieder ab - der Fehler ist hier beschrieben:

Habe den IBM nun auf 384 MB RAM aufgemotzt - gleiches Fehlerbild.
Hat jemand eine Idee, ob man irgendwas tun kann? -
Jemand hier im Forum hat einenn IBM 300pl als VDR am Laufen - allerdings in einer etwas neueren Version. Kann das nur am Prozessor liegen… ??

Hallo,
ich habe den IBM 300 PL mit 667 MHz P3-Prozessor , 512MB Ram - allerdings habe ich eine FF Karte, das läuft sehr gut...! (Ide-Platte, Brenner,Netzwerkkarte - sonst nichts.)
Firmwareupdate?

Auf deiner Hauptplatine ist der Chipsatz Intel 440BX. Mit diesem Chipsatz habe ich mit einem Pentium !!! 600MHz hervorragende Ergebnisse. VDR wird sicher nicht an den Hardwareanforderungen scheitern.
Allerdings merke ich, dass ein "USB storage device" da angeschlossen ist. Bootest Du easyVDR vom USB-Stick? Ich möchte nicht 100% behaupten, dass das Problem daran liegt, aber das:

sieht nicht so gut aus.
Ich vermute, dass Du easyVDR automatisch installiert hast:

Dank für Euer aller geduldiges Bemühen um meine alte Mühle… :)
Das USB-Dings ist entweder ein USB-Stick oder eine USB-Festplatte, die ich nutze, um alle möglichen Dateien hin und her zu tragen. Das Verhalten des Systems ändert sich überhaupt nicht, ob am USB was hängt oder nicht.
Das ganze System ist ganz normal auf einer IDE-Festplatte drauf.

Hallo,
Danke an alle, die mir geholfen haben.
Der Einbau eines 450MHz-PIII-Prozessors hat den Durchbruch gebracht. Alles sonst unverändert - und er geht. Komisch find' ich das schon… - aber immerhin tut er nun.
Dank v.a. auch an Cezar, der mir den Prozessor geschickt hat!
