hi!

My Medion MD 90012 Digitainer have (DVB-C-/Kabel Analog-TV-Karte im Lieferumfang) and original O.S.

Thanks.
wbreu  08.Nov.2007 21:42:28
Hi again,

you must have a card that is supported under Linux.

Take a look on the card and post there the Part-Number and the Original-Code of the Designer.

or put a Link to a picture of the card in that thread.

If you have a card that is not supported under linux, you have no chance to use VDR.

Hy entrr2,

and original O.S.

Are you aware that you have to download the EasyVDR Image from here ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/easyvdr/beta/ an Install it on your Machine to get Support from the Admins ???

Cause using the Original Software (LINSPIRE) will not help you receiving a TV Signal  ;)

Hy entrr2,

either using XP as Operating System, Is not an Option, getting Help here! you should realy make a Backup of your Installation. an try using the EasyVDR image instead of you XP Installation.

But beware, (as wbreu wrote you allready)If you want to use EasyVDR(Linux) you need(as far as i know) another DVB Device, because the Original Device CTX929 will not work with Linux (no Driver Support)!

check here, if your Device is Supported by Linux: http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-S_PCI_Cards

How can i do?, can you help me!

Thanks.
prudentis  24.Nov.2007 17:04:26
Hy entrr2,

I already had the same problem with my Digitainer, I solved it with changing to another DVD-Drive. I don´t know the Reason why the Original DVD Drive sometimes didn´t accept others then the Original Linspire DVD.

try changing the DVD Drive to another, and tell us the result!

Hi Prudentis!

I don't have other dvd-drive.
I test change others parametres of bios, but is the same result.

There isn't another solution?

Thanks.
prudentis  25.Nov.2007 07:24:57
Hy entrr2,

as far as i know NO, my eyperience was only to change the DVD Drive! But for Installing EasyVDR it´s enough to have a CD Drive as well!

Maybe some other User here or at the VDR-Portal has more idea´s, but for me it´s working that way.

maybe the same problem like here: [url=http://www.easy-vdr.de/forum/index.php?topic=3178.0]http://www.easy-vdr.de/forum/index.php?topic=3178.0

boot your computer with USB-keyboard plugged in -> F11 on startup -> password: am8888egh -> Advanced BIOS Futures  -> MEDION CD Only: switch to

maxx
entrr2  27.Nov.2007 22:04:57
H!

Thanks maxx, but I already have one more time this action and the result is the same, the installation of easyvdr cd is not started.

Insurance that other solution exists!
poschli  30.Nov.2007 22:13:54
