Hi. Till now I had an old installation of easyvdr 3.0 alpha 2 working correctly in my system. Today I updated to easyvdr 3.0 stable, but I have two issues after the first setup (may be I missundertood bad some messages during setup proccess): - Sound is not working. - Remote control is not working. As I have easyinfo with the alpha and with the stable version, I upload them in order you can give some clue about what is working wrong in my new stable version. Thanks and regards. Hi MFG. [quote='MFG' pid='172796' dateline='1479148865'] do you retried multiple the "SetupTool" via console for audi and lirc? I do not know.. may be, Could that be the cause of the issue with sound and remote control? Is there a way to solve the problem that the multiple SetupTool may have caused? [quote='MFG' pid='172796' dateline='1479148865'] For audio I found this hint to update freshest alsa - especially for NUC -> [url=http://askubuntu.com/questions/843475/no-audio-ubuntu-16-04-1-on-nuc]may help I thought that as with the alpha2, the audio drivers will be installed by default in the NUC. So, do I have to do this? sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/alsa-daily. apt update. apt install oem-audio-hda-daily-dkms Reboot the system. [quote='MFG' pid='172796' dateline='1479148865'] And the errors on WIFI in the syslog may be fixed by one of the firmware from [url=http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/iwlwifi/__v91.html]here. Well, as I have the NUC directly connected to the router I do not need the wifi drivers, so I am not worried about them... unless you tell me that it can affect to the system performance. The remote control control is not working in this installation, but it works in the Alpha2 version, do I need also some aditional drivers? Thanks and regards. Javier B. Hi. Thanks for the help but... I entered in the audio setup and I obtained the msg01.jpg and msg01.jpg that I have uploaded. Tv screen got black with a message, but no sound is played (I remember that when I installed alpha2 tv played diferent sounds). I am sorry for the inconvenience, I am not able to find out where to change the sound output. I tried to configure also the remote control with the setup but with no luck neither. Hi again. I have done another time the changes that Overlooser told me. You can see the two images uploaded on this post, but with no luck again. I upload also on this post the list of packages installed in alpha2 version and in Stable version, just in case that can give some idea about some CIR package that is missing in my Stable installation. Well. Thanks a lot anyway. It seems that is happening the same issue that when I tried to test the Alpha4 version... see this thread: http://www.easy-vdr.de/thread-17447.html There, michel8 tried to helpme, but I decided to wait till the Stable version, so, we did not keep on solving the issue. The last info demanded in that thread by michel8 was: [quote='michel8' pid='170314' dateline='1462392361'] could you please post the content of /lib/udev/rules.d/40-ir-keytable.rules the output of ir-keytable -v and the content of /var/log/easyvdr/easyvdr-set_keytab In the Logfile I have seen, that you are using an MCE-CIR Keyboard/Mouse, Did you also had this component in use with your last successfull remote-control configuration with Alpha 2-ISO? Do you think that can be useful if I find out this info for the version that is working (V3 Alpha2) and for the version that is not working (V3 Stable) in order to compare it? May be I can check if the sofware that should be running to make work the remote is trully working? If someone could tellme which command should I use? Regards. Javier B. Hello Javier First we musst check what's the right event, and if it work's allways. You can test with this command: sudo cat /dev/input/event3 If you press a button on the remote control you must see any output on the terminal. I'm not sure that event3 ist the right event. Hi again. May be I just have found out what is happening. After booting, I have connected by ssh and I have run those commands: easyvdr@easyvdr:~$ sudo modprobe -r ite_cir easyvdr@easyvdr:~$ sudo modprobe ite_cir And... the remote started working as it should be. Someone has any idea about how to make the solution persistent after reboot? Thanks and regards Javier B. VDR 1: Intel NUC6i5SYK || SSD 128Gb M.2 2242 ADATA PREMIER || External HD: W.D. Hello Javier I think you need a workaround ... sudo su echo modprobe -r ite_cir >/usr/share/vdr/before-vdr-hooks/1-reloadite_cir echo modprobe ite_cir >>/usr/share/vdr/before-vdr-hooks/1-reloadite_cir chmod ugo+x /usr/share/vdr/before-vdr-hooks/1-reloadite_cir I hope it works Thank you for your help Regards Bleifuss Produktiv-VDR: Board GA H77-DS3H, Intel Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470, Cine S2 DVB, WD 3TB Green, WDC WD20EARS-00J 2TB, Geforce 750Ti oder Intel HD Easyvdr 3.0 |

With this workaround easyvdr starts till the screen with the easyvdr boot logo. Remote works, but I can not whatch tv. I only can change to Kodi with pChanger, but if I try to return to vdr, nothing is showed. I tried this workaround also, and it seem to work. I added in "/etc/rc.local" this: sleep 3 modprobe -r ite_cir sleep 2 modprobe ite_cir But I do not know if this workaround is permanent, can you tell me if it can be erased/restored (rc.local) after some update?
