Hi.

I am a new user in this forum. I have bought an intel NUC6 this week, and I am trying to make it work with vdr, so may be I will ask you some questions in a few days.

I am used to work with yaVdr, but it is a little bit difficult for me to make it work with NUC6, so I will give a try to easyVdr.

My main handicap is the language, because I do not understand german, so, I hope you can help me with my questions in english.

Hi Javier,

you are very welcome. Our Software is in some points german only. But you will need them not often (setup).

If you have questions then ask as long you need to get the NUC running. I think for Intel Systems easyVDR is a good platform.

Hi again.

I have installed easyVdr version 3.0, but if you think that it will be better for me to work with previous stable version, I will change it tomorrow. Please tell me something about it.

In the instaled version, I have some little issues:

- Kodi can not start from OSD menu, but starts from webserver.

- When I launch Kodi from webserver I can not install any plugin from repository in Kodi. A message is displayed "Could'n connect to network server". So I can not install a pvr plugin to whatch tv in Kodi.

- When I exit from Kodi a grey screen appears with the icon of the mouse, but tv is not displayed. I try to restart vdr by mean "sudo restart vdr", but the command do not work. I have to restart computer by mean "sudo reboot" to regain vdr tv playing.

Tomorrow, I will open a new thread for trying NUC6 to work properly, but before that I want to know if I should install an stable previous version of easyVdr and to know what can I do to start solving this initial little issues.

You need not necessarily take a stable version, easyVDR3.0 's ok.

The exchange on vdr osd should actually go , because it is managed from easyVDR3.0 about the program-changer .
update the system:
ALT+STRG+F2
Login: easyvdr
Password: easyvdr
easyVDR-Toolmenü > Terminal

sudo su
stopvdr
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
startvdr
You can switch between kodi and vdr to the program-changer. Is important that you have set up this.
Press the Windows key on the keyboard , it opens the window program-changer.

Then press F4 and start the "Program-Changer-Setup"

Here you learn the program-changer window-button on the IR remote control:
>"Fernbedienung konfigurieren" > "2 Program-Changer Taste anernen" >

Select Key for the "Start Program -changer "

The key encroach here may only be used for the Program -changer .
If the key is also used for VDR / KODI there are problems.
If no free key exists express nothing .
Then the Program -changer by pressing the Menu button again to enter .
The Menu button must > 1s pressured to activate / deactivate the program -changer

To push to start Return

Ok.. next:
You can turn off the easyvdr in kodi:
do the following
"5 Einstellungen fuer das ausschalten mit der Fernbedienung" > "2 program-changer steuert das Ausschalten, man..." > "4 zurueck" > "6 Ende"

Now we need to save the settings and exit the setup.
> "Ende" > "ja"

Now you can choose between vdr < > switch kodi with the program-changer button. You have to hold the program-changer button 1-2 seconds.

Thanks a lot for your help. Pchanger is already configured. I shoul say that it is really useful.

On the other hand, I have installed for kodi:
Youtube and vdr vnsi client

When I do a search with youtube "bad request" message is displayed, so I can not search anything.

I can neither watch tv because kodi displays this message "vdr vnsi client lost conection".

Some Idea to solve those questions?.

Hi, you are totally right, lucky me for your help.

Installed the server and working properly now.

By the way, the problem with youtube has gone when I registered the app. So it was also my fault.

I will keep on configuring the system.

I am gone open another thead in order to ask about translation files.

war auch unter easyVDR-2.x so, bis Kodi-15/16 hinzukam ...ab da hab ich die Depends entfernt, gab trouble.
