USB cards problem with kernel 3.11.6

I'm having a problem with my USB cards. After stopvdr, the startvdr doesn't load the usb drivers.
Unload shows all drivers are unloaded but with start they aren't loaded again. (Remove/ connect the usb cable before startvdr works)
Something changed with the 3.11.6 kernel and more parts must be loaded with startvdr. Any hints on how to do this?
